WeSET connects with festival attendees

WeSET’s education team has experienced an overwhelming response to its activities at an annual science and technology event.

During a two-day presence at the Festival Of Tomorrow, held in Swindon, WeSET received much interest in its school workshops and Westmill tours from the thousands of attending visitors. Children were captivated by various wind and solar demonstration models, and spent time experimenting with and making paper pinwheels.

Education Officer Emma Arnold said: “The Festival of Tomorrow was an extraordinary event, surpassing all previous editions in scale and impact. We were thrilled to find that we had been allocated a prime stand in the main thoroughfare. This prime location ensured that every visitor passed by our stand, and after two days of engaging activities, it certainly felt like they had! We received numerous new enquiries and we anticipate even more interest in the coming weeks. It was a resounding success, and we are already looking forward to returning next year to inspire and engage even more people with the wonders of renewable energy.”
