A founding member of Westmill Wind Farm Co-operative, Philip Wolfe was an integral figure in the establishment of Westmill Solar Co-operative.

As first Chair of the Board of Directors for Westmill Solar, Philip led the co-operative in seeking equity through its share offer in 2012 and in the subsequent acquisition of the solar farm.

Having been involved in the renewable energy sector since the 1970s, Philip later established his own photovoltaics company, Intersolar Group, which until 2002 was the sole UK manufacturer of photovoltaic cells. He was also Director General of the Renewable Energy Association, when it led the campaign for the introduction of the Feed-in-Tariffs, and the first Chair of Community Energy England.

Philip has remained an actively engaged and valued member of the Wind and Solar co-operatives.
