Jess has a great passion for Community Energy, working in the sector across various roles since graduating from her studies in 2022. Jess has previously worked as a project officer at SELCE, marketing their Future Fit Homes retrofit programme; Community Energy London, where she looked after membership, events and a peer mentoring programme to support the development of new community energy groups in London; and Community Energy England, where she freelanced as a policy and advocacy assistant. In September 2022, Jess was shortlisted for the Youth Energy Award at the Community Energy England Awards.

For two years, Jess worked with Joju Solar and Energy4All as a Community Solar Project Manager, developing rooftop solar community energy projects for 7 Energy4All Solar Co-Operatives. Since January 2025, Jess has been working at Younity as a Community Renewables Manager, managing PPAs with community energy organisations and new product development.

Jess is passionate about getting more young people involved in community energy and is keen to use her voice to increase messaging to young people in the area. Jess will be leading on the co-op's communications and marketing.
