Chris Church is Director of the Community Environment Associates (CEA) consultancy, specialising in work on local engagement with climate and nature issues. He was trained as an environmental biologist and as a teacher. Chris was a Director and Trustee of Friends of the Earth from 2014-2020, and is a parish councillor in Botley, just west of Oxford, where he now lives. He led the development work for Community Energy England in 2012. He has been a Director for organisations including the Environmental Law Foundation and Surfers Against Sewage and was a member of the London Sustainable Development Commission, appointed by the Mayor of London.
