Westmill Supports RePower Ukraine

As part of their mission to support the community energy sector to grow, Westmill Energy are proud to announce that they are supporting the RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation.

Set up to provide hospitals with emergency power during outages, RePower Ukraine helps communities to utilise solar power and battery storage; giving communities autonomy over their own energy supply and reducing dependance on the unreliable national grid.

The Foundation has also established a new classroom programme for young people, through their Light of the Future programme, using the educational resources of Westmill Sustainable Energy Trust (WeSET) to inspire a new generation to take action on climate change.

Westmill’s resources have now been used in over 100 classrooms across Ukraine. We were thrilled to receive a video from RePower Ukraine, showing how our resources are being used in the country.

If you are looking for resources to use in your classrooms to teach children about community energy and green power, free resources are available on our website.

Find out more about the work of the RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation on their website.
